Overview of the Surveys Tool
Surveys are an excellent way to ask for feedback from your students regarding any aspect of your course. For example, use surveys as a method of collecting course evaluations, mid-year reviews, or researching people’s learning styles and content delivery preferences. You can gather anonymous or non-anonymous opinions and information from your users.
Setting up a survey is similar to setting up a quiz. But, unlike quizzes, surveys are not assessed, so they do not have the association to the Grades tool like the quiz tool does. For a survey, you insert your questions (including Likert-type questions), set start and end dates, and create release conditions (if applicable). Once your students fill in the survey, you can then use the statistics to monitor current course trends, seek opinions, and assess user satisfaction.
